News from the studio…

Day 1,2,3..

We started off our recordin’ in this special studio fir all the instrument trackin’ (Thats what the technical folks call recordin’). Deeep in a warehouse in Inner West Sydney, was a special facility with this incredible old, old.. old-school mixing console.. & all these speakers… and like an million microphones… all pointing at us.. freaky.

Here we did all Shamus’s Drums, Cousin Berts Bass n’ lots of Cousin Montz’s banjo.. n almost all of Stretch’s Guitar & T-Bones Guitar and Mandolin. They had us all baffled off and we could only see each other through a complex series of mirrors and windows. T-Bones glass kept Foggin’ up. We guess ewe know why.

Days 4, 5, 6….

Then when we went next door to a new studio.. with even better air conditioning… n all these rooms, so everyone could be separate (not cause we bin fighting or anything) Just so we couldn’t leak all over each other. This place was called Love Hz.. frightenin’ ay.

Here we did 1 and a half hole days of Banjo! We was all real sick of Banjo by the ends of that! We still love Cousin Montz though…

Following that we had a visit from Musical SAW Maestro Azo Bell. He dog-gone put a saw between his legs and bent it and struck it with a fiddle bow.. what the heck will they think of in Byron Bay next? Anyway, the saw features on one of our songs.. which are all special… and all original.. ‘n that.

Cousin Oink then arrived.. with his fiddle under his chin.. and he danced and played like an lepricorn on triple proof cider. His hair was everywhere.. even on the toilet seat.

Days 7,8,9…

The Singin! Well ewe know how beautiful Stretch’s voice is.. and how strange T-Bones is…
This album is all original.. a Pigs first.. n the songs are tops. if we don’t say so ourselves. We can’t wait fir ewes to here it!

Our album is now in the final stages of mixing by award winnin’ super producer Matt Fell. Stay tuned.. its coming….

Us Pig’s are hittin’ the road this  autumn fir some real special shows!

Kicking off with SMH’s ‘Spectrum Now’ at the domain, we’ll be making a rare visit to Cairns for the PBR ‘Reef Stampede’, then off to Newcastle, Albury, two very special festivals in Victoria – Mt Beauty and Man From Snowy River Bush Festival – and a big hometown show at The Vanguard in Newtown, Sydney!
